In the book of John 8:5-11 when the women caught in sin was brought to Jesus.
Jesus unlike you and I, He did not stone her.
He simply said he that is without sin cast the first stone.
He knew He was the only one present that was without sin.
He set another example for you and I that day…
I know that Jesus wrote Love and forgiveness that day cause that is who He is.
That’s who He was then, and that’s who He is to you and I today..
You see that is His character…
We should strive for the characteristics of Jesus !
Are burdened for lost souls?
What are you doing to reach those lost souls?
A character that loves people.
Do people feel loved by you?
Can they see the love of Christ in you?
Does the love of Christ come through you to this lost , and dying world?
His character didn’t sin !
Do you feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit to repent, and turn away from sin?
His character showed the love of Jesus Christ to a world that did not love Him back!
We have been found; to find others!
We are told to tell others about Jesus; to spread the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ!
We are won; to win others over to Christ!
We are saved; to save others. We are a witness of His unfailing love, grace, unmerited favor, and mercy!
We are to seek out the lost; cause someone sought us out!
It is time for us to suit up and go out; out of our comfort zone.
Put on the full armor of God, go out into the darkness of this world, and show the light of God. Show them the Jesus in you…
Out into the highways and by-ways compelling them to come in!
There is three things that God wrote that we should always remember.
He told us the problems, and He gave us the solution.
The solution, the answer to our situation is Jesus, He gave us Jesus!
He wrote the law: God hates sin, Yet ! “All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.”
Solution to the problem is Jesus! He is able to wash us clean! His blood has cleansing power!
He wrote judgement: ” For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ. ”
He came to set us free from sin. He came not to judge or give us a death sentence, but to pardon us, to set us free from sin, to give us a abundant life. To give us everlasting life.
Now that you have been set free; what are you going to do with your freedom?
Your pardon, your freedom was brought with a price. That price was/is the blood of Jesus.
He wrote forgiveness: John 3:16 ” For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Our problem was/is sin; we needed a savior to reconcile us back to God. We were lost in a world of sin.
God sent the answer…
The answer, the solution to our problems was/is Jesus. Gods only begotten son paid our ransom. He who knew no sin paid the price for our sins. That’s you and I.
Jesus is our example to live by…
Now the question is ; will you and I lift our savior up?
Will we win the lost at any cost?
Will we tell our story; of how we overcome..
Will we tell somebody about Jesus?
Will we take on the character of Christ?
The final question is: What will you do for Christ, now that you have been set free!!!
Free to speak of his goodness!
Free to speak of His grace, and mercy!!!
Free to tell a dark and dying world; that He is the light of the world!!
Free to tell those who feel unloved; Jesus loves them!!!
Free to worship Him!!!
Free to serve Him!!
Free to praise Him!!!
Free to be His hands of compassion here on earth.
Free to spread the gospel; the good news of Jesus Christ around the world!!!
Free to be His arm, His legs, His mouth piece!!!
Tell the world that God loves them. There is nothing that they could have done to stop God from loving them
When they say to you that you don’t know all that they have done, that he can’t possibly love them.
You tell them that he loves them so much that He worked out their plan of salvation.
He loves them so much ; He has forgiven them, washed them clean, and given them a second chance.
He loves them so much because that is who He is LOVE…
So now that we realize that He loves us in spite of what we have or have not done.
The question remains?
What will you do with your freedom???
May the blessings of the Lord be upon you all!!!
