Ask God, then go get it

1 Chronicles 4: 9-1 ” And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine  hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me ! And God granted him that which he requested.”

Let’s examine the prayer of Jabez it teaches us that we should ask God for whay we really want. He will answer our prayers. Jabez ask God to fill him up with what was missing from his life; so he could be complete. Now Jabez was already blessed, and God gave him more. He gave him more because he asked for it.

Jabez did not let his name hold him back or stop him. Now his mother named him Jabez which means pain, because she was in pain. He understood that God does not see us the same as other people see us. Other people might want to put pain on you, because they are hurting and incomplete. There is a saying that misery loves company. If you seek God first, He won’t allow you to stay in misery.

God wants you to talk to him. He wants to have a personal relationship with you. He wants you to know that he cares about you and want you to make your request known to Him.  We can talk to Him, We can ask Him for increase in all areas of our life. If you want or need love, just ask Him for it. If you need a friend, just ask Him for a friend. Know that whatever you need you can ask Him for it.

Jabez put God first, so God put him first. Jabez was not perfect, he just put God first.

God wants to increase your territory; as a matter or fact, He has already increased your territory.

Realize that it starts in the mind first. So go ahead and act like it, talk like it, and smile like it is already done. It’s the law of attraction. We call it walking by faith. So stop looking at what is in front of you. Stop looking at that person, place, or thing. Look from within, allow the Holy Spirit to guide or draw the people you need to meet. The spirit will attract them .

When Jesus said it is finished, that meant everything. Everything means everything, your health, your wealth, your peace of mind.

We have to learn that all we have to do is ask, then go get it. Walking by faith means the loan I need is at SunTrust bank, Bank of America, or US Bank, however it requires action from me. I need to walk into the bank and fill out the application realizing it’s not what you know, but who you know. As long as you know Jesus, and you ask in Jesus name, everything will be alright.

Jabez knew Jesus. That’s why he asked and expected God to grant his request. He did not doubt, even though he had a curse on him from birth. He refused to let people, not even his mother discourage him. He realized he was not a pain to God. As a matter of fact he changed his name, in God’s sight to pleasure. How do we know ? Because God granted his request.

Evidently the thing he ask for, pleased the Lord.

God could trust him with a blessing. I ask the question can God trust you with a blessing?

He said, now God with this blessing do not let me get the big head, do not let me do evil, and keep me from evil people. Do not let me sin. We all know that money can change some people. When the blessing came Jabez did not want to stop putting God first.

Jabez knew what to say, he knew what to ask for. He knew how to ask. He left no questions in God’s mind.

Look at 1 John 5:14″ and this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hearth us.”

Understand that when Jesus got up, we got up with Him. He has the victory, so we have the victory.

We can do all things through Christ who strengthen us.

Know that everything you need is already done…….

It’s yours, Go get it.

To God Be The Glory
