Be like Mike.

John 5:17-20
The son can do nothing by himself, he can do only what he sees his father doing, because whatever the father does the son also does.

I was always taught that is okay to copy as long as you copy the right person. There was a famous commercial on TV that said be like Mike, of course it was talking about famous basketball player Michael Jordan. Every young basketball player wanted to imitate Michael Jordan because he was the greatest. The Bible tells us to be imitators of God because he truly is the greatest, I remember as a young boy I wanted to be just like my father as a matter of fact some of the things that he did I still do till this day. My father will be proud of me that I took on some of the good traits that he had but it wouldn’t be so proud that I have taken on some of the bad traits that he had, there’s only one person that we can copy that there will be no regrets there’s only one person that is without sin. His name is Jesus, God said this is my beloved Son and I am well pleased. Jesus copied His Father. He reached out to the lost. He helped the needy and heal the sick. Love the unlovable. We are called to follow Jesus we are called to follow Jesus example. Therefore as dearly loved children and a walk in the way of love continuing to grow more like Jesus maybe seat to Love Like The Father loves forgive like he forgives care like he cares and Liv and ways that please him it is a delight to copy his actions, and the power of the spirit, know that I will reward is in the affectionate tender smile of a loving father.
