BLOOD AND WATER

John 19:33-34

But when came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs. But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came rhere out blood and water.

Jesus had already died so his legs were not broken, for these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, a bone of him shall not be broken. Instead, just to make sure, a soldier pierced Jesus side with a spear. The result was a sudden flow of blood and water. We need a cure of our outward sinful acts and our inward sinful nature. The blood refers to the precious blipped shed by the Lord to deal with our outward sinful acts, Scripture tell us and almost all things are by the law purged with blood: and without the shedding of blood is no remission. The water refers to the life imparted by the Lord to deal with our inward sinful nature. The precious blood of the Lord redeems us from the eternal punishment we deserve due to our sinful acts,  and his life saves us from the power 0f our sinful nature. The blood formed a fountain for the washing away of sin, and the water became the fountain of life. Now for with then is the fountain of life in thy light shall we see light, See Revelation 20:6 tell us, And he said unto me, It is done, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

The life imparting death of the Lord’s is typified by Adam’s sleep, out from which Eve was produced and is signified by the death of the one grain of wheat that fell into the ground for the bringing forth of many grains to make the one bread the body of Christ. Jesus said Verily, Verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone; but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit, For we being many are one bread and one body; for we are all partakers of that one bread. Redemption, justification, and reconciliation, which are accomplished outside of us by the death of Christ, redeem us objectively; sanctification, transformation, and conformation, which are accomplished within us by the working of Christ’s life save us subjectively

Zech 13:1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
