Do you believe the words that’s coming out of your mouth? Are you praying because you believe in the power of prayer, or because someone told you to pray? Do you believe that God answers prayer?
These are some of the things that we are going to talk about today. My Grandmother told me, ” if you going to pray then don’t worry, and if you are going to worry don’t pray”. She would laugh and say,” save yourself some time”. You are probably saying easier said than done, I know, been there done that. At an early age my Grandmother told me about prayer and the power it holds, this is a learned process. She would say don’t prayer if you don’t believe that it’s going to come true. Why would God give you something you don’t believe will come to pass.
I remember her saying that prayer is the key, but faith unlocks the door. That means that you ask for a thing (that’s the prayer part) and believing that it shall come to past, having faith in God that he will answer your request (that’s the faith part).
To get to this point you must believe in God knowing that he loved you so much that he sent his son to die your sins, no greater love than this a man who would lay down his life for a friend.
Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours”. Read this over, and over again, mediate on it. Ask the Lord to help you, to give you the understanding that you need to move from just Asking to receiving.
To God be the glory in all things
