DON`T LOOK IN THE MIRRIOR

We look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. We spend so much time dressing up outwardly. There is nothing wrong with looking good, but looking good should not become our only focus in life, we spen 90% of our time trying to look good to please others and we do not measure up to what the world wants, we become discourage. Do not look in the mirrior, look to God. How do I look to God to see myself? The word tells us how we look to God, what does God see? We are the apple of his eye.We are made in His image. We are the head not the tail. We are more than a conqueror. God does not make junk.God does not make mistakes. There are no do overs for God , He get`s it right the first time. 2 Corinthians 4:16 ‘ Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. While we do not look at the things which are seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Peter admonishes us to focus on beautifying our hearts.’But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. We are very affected by what we see. We usually do the opposite of what Paul says here, we fix our eyes on what is seen, and not on what is unseen. Don`t be distracted emotionally by what we see.We are told to fix our eyes on what is unseen, the work of God in our lives. Paul mentioned at least two things that can discourage us: our ailing body, and the troubles we see around us. There is something that we don`t see, ‘Inwardly we are being renewed day by day, I may be weak physically, I may be losing my hair, I may have gained a few pounds, but inwardly i`m also changing for the better. The real me is constantly being renewed, I am growing more and more like Christ. Over the years, God has moulded me to be a better person, i have come to know Him, love Him and trust Him.
The psalmist describes it this way in Psalm 73:26 ‘ My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. God is working in my life, in ways I cannot see.
