Mark 1:40

And there came a leper to Jesus saying to Him, Kneeling down to Him,saying unto Him, if thou will , would you cast me clean. We hear stores about how God has healed people of cancer, how He has blessed your friend, how He made a way out of no way for your cousin. We are happy for them, but what about your concerns, what about your family, you have been praying. How come God does not do the same for me? Does he care? Is he willing to take away my health problem? Is God willing to make my life better? Is God willing to make His presence know in my life? I bet you that the leper in this story used to think thoughts like that all the time. You see, leprosy was a dreaded skin disease. Not just because of the harm it did to you physically. But because of the harm that it did socially. They had to live alone, live outside the camp. There was no cure for leprosy. And many Jews regarded it as a punishment from God for sins committed. This man felt forsaken by God and hated by humanity every day of his life. I want you to know that God is not only able, but He is willing, because he loves you and want you to be an example of how powerful God is, Why? because people have to see miracles to follow Jesus and Jesus said I wish not to lose one, so its not just about you, but He is willing so your mother, sister, brother, friend, started to believe in Him and be saved, so your condition, your problem is a set up for God to show his power.

The leper had heard about how Jesus healed a demon possessed man, he heard about how Jesus healed Simon Peters mother in law, he heard about how Jesus healed the brokenhearted.  So when God does something in your life, we must let people know, so they can get the courage and confidence to ask God for what they need, if we do not tell our story we could be blocking someone miracles, its not that Jesus want heal them, its because they do not ask. In the book of James it says that we have not because we ask not. But because the leper heard about Jesus, He said I have nothing to lose, here is my chance, here is my chance to ask God for help, I am dying anyway, no one else can help me, I may be rich but my money could not help me now, I have tried everything,i am so tired of being alone, so here is my last chance, He may not do it, but I will ask anyway, if He says no, so what I have not lost a thing, but if He says yes , my whole life will change, I can go outside, I can go see my friends ,I can go to Church, I can get married , I can have kids, I can get on Facebook and send a friend request and not get rejected, I can live a normal life and all of this is based on one question. Jesus will you clean me? He never ask Jesus are you able, He knew He could because he had heard it through the grapevine, he heard the gossip, he may have seen some folks that could not walk, but he saw them running, some folks that were broke now they have a new car, some folks that were lonely now with someone, that’s why you have to show off what God has done for you, not brag on you, but on God.  So we know He is able after all He said let there be light and there was light, God formed man of the dust of the ground,we know He is able. We know that he cares because He said cast your cares on me, come to me and I will give you rest. We know He loves us because He gave His only Son to die for you and me. so the leper ask the right question, Jesus will you? there is big difference between having the power to do something and the will to do it, I was on a plan and my seat was in the exit row, so before the plan could take off the flight crew had to ask me 2 questions, 1. Are you able? 2. Are you willing? I had to say yes to both, when talking to God you only need to ask one question, God will you?  Jesus Filled with compassion,Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. and He said five of the most beautiful words in all of scripture. ” I am willing. Be clean. We see the compassion of Christ. He really does feel what we feel what we are going through, people are kind and they say, I know what you are going through, no they do not, but Jesus does for real. When Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead, He wept a tear from His eye, because His best friend had died, and He felt the pain that Lazarus sisters were going through, then He felt His own pain and grief , because a few days later He would experience the death of His only Son, He knows how we Feel. Notice Jesus reached and touched the man. He was willing to make Himself ceremonially unclean so the leper could be clean. If the man had ebola Jesus would have touched him. No one else will touch you, but Jesus will, He will love the unlovable ,touch the untouchable, one touch from the master is all we need, let Jesus touch you today , He is able, He cares, He is willing. He is willing to make your life beautiful once again, whatever the devil stole from you God is willing to restore. The Leper was cured Immediately, not the next day, but now, because our God is a present help in time of trouble, when God touches our lives there are some immediate effects. 1. sins are cleansed, and washed away, who can wash away our sins? nothing but the Blood. 2. we are adopted into the family of God. 3. The Holy Spirit comes upon us. He touched me. Jesus told the leper now do not tell anyone, what happens when you tell someone do not tell anyone they tell everyone, the leper could not keep quiet, he was so excited he told it all and now that person that was scared to ask Jesus for there healing now has the confidence to ask because the leper told everybody about a man that  can do anything, but fail. a Man that is willing and able to set you free, yes He can make your life worth living again, He can make you clean, He can turn your life around, just ask the question, ” LORD, IF YOU ARE WILLING, YOU CAN MAKE ME CLEAN.  CLEAN FROM HURT, CLEAN FROM PROVERTY, CLEAN FROM UNFORGIVENES , CLEAN FROM EVIL , CLEAN FROM ANY SICKNES , CLEAN FROM LONELINESS , CLEAN FROM DEPRESSION , CLEAN FROM A DIRTY HEART. GOD IS WILLING.
