Have you given up anything ???

What have you given up to follow Jesus, in The Book of Mark 10 Chapter. We find Jesus talking about eternal life he says in verse 15 verily I say unto you whosoever should not receive the kingdom of God as a little child he shall not enter their end and he took them up in his arms put his hands upon them and bless them and when he was gone forth into the way there came one running and Neil to him and ask him good Master what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life. And Jesus said unto him why call is dial me good there is none good but one that is God of course Jesus was speaking from and Humanity perspective we do know that he was a hundred percent human and a hundred percent divine Jesus told the Young Ruler that you must keep the Commandments Val shalt not commit adultery Val should not kill valve should not steal Thou shalt not bear false witness against our neighbor by father and mother. The Young Ruler answered and said unto him, master, all these have I observed from my youth. Then Jesus beholding him loved him and said unto him one thing that I like it Go by way so whatever about has and give to the poor and I should have Treasures in Heaven and come take up thy cross and follow me. We see in this text that the Young Ruler observed as he thought all the Commandments but Jesus said that the two most important Commandments he had not followed. Number one is the love God with all your mind heart and soul and he said the second one is like unto it love thy neighbor as thyself. Because the Rich Young Ruler did not want to give his Goods to the poor it meant they did not love God and because he would not give to the poor it meant he did not love his neighbor. Jesus goes on to say that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God and the disciples were astonished they had a question the question was then Jesus who then can be saved and Jesus said to them with man it is impossible but not with God God for With God all things are possible what Jesus was saying was that if a rich man wants to go to heaven he can as long as he put God first as long as he’s willing to take up his cross and follow God. What God is really saying is that we must want him more than what he can offer us, we must want God more than anything else in the world. You see salvation is not merely deliverance from sin, nor the experience of personal holiness, the salvation of God is Deliverance out of self entirely into Union with himself. Salvation means that the spirit of God has brought me into touch with God’s personality, and I am thrilled with something infinitely greater than myself I am caught up into the abandonment of God greatest he that’s in me that is in the world. We must understand John 3 16 that God gave himself absolutely we must give ourselves over to God just as God gave himself for us without any calculation without wanting anything in return we must not give to God because we can get from God. We must give to God because he’s already given to us the opportunity to have eternal life but we must take up our cross and follow him 100% not 99% we must make our bodies a Living Sacrifice. In the text Peter and the other disciples was a little concerned they begin to say Lord we have followed you and we left everything else behind so more you mean to tell me that we may not make it in. Jesus said to them in verse 29 verily I say unto you there is no man that have left house or brother and or sister or father or mother or wife or children or land for my sake and the gospel but he should receive and hundredfold now in this time houses and brother me and sisters and mothers and children and lands with persecution and in the world to come eternal life but maybe that are first shall be last and the last first Jesus was given Peter and The Disciples of insurance that whatever you let go in this life for me I’ll give it back to you plus eternal life but remember on this side there will be persecution because you are following me but nothing you would do for me or go on notice because you maybe last on this Earth but she should be first with me. So it pays to follow Jesus but we must follow Jesus not expecting anything but to have him and that’s all that we need. What are you holding back from Jesus, give him everything and everything is you.
