Luke 7:47
I tell you, her sins, which were many, have been forgiven, hence, she has shown great love. But the one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.

God makes no distinctions between either the severity or the frequency of sinfulness. According to Romans 3:23, ‘All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Therefore, a critically important underlying factor in forgiveness is the need for sinners to acknowledge their sins and the need to seek forgiveness. Our Key Verse provides a perfect lens for exploring today`s scriptures to develop deeper insights into how Jesus views sin as well as how He makes no distinctions between sinners. He offers love and forgiveness to all repentant sinners, without regard to past sins, natural heritage, social status or other human characteristics . We need to understand this because so many people and maybe even you have said, ‘ I would go to church but I need to get myself right first, we fear of what people may say about us. People have judgmental attitudes. We should not fear man but God, man has no heaven or hell to put you in. God knows everything about us and still love us anyway. God wants everyone to be saved. He will leave the 99 and go get the 1 and bring them back to safety. In the text this woman was a known sinner. The woman was not an invited guest. She came to the dinner party because she knew Jesus was invited, and she obviously believed He would not reject either her presence or her desire to touch him as she worshipped him. The woman`s knowledge about Jesus obviously impacted her significantly. She arrived at the dinner, fully prepared to lovingly worship and anoint him with expensive perfumed oils. We have to get to Jesus no matter what our past look like, we have to know that he will not reject us, we want us to seek him out. We draw near Him and He will draw near to us. The woman believing she had been forgiven a huge debt, the woman generously and lavishly expressed her gratitude. Jesus forgave the woman`s sins, freed her from the burdens of sin`s debts and gave her opportunity to begin life anew as a believer. Jesus brought closure to the woman`s sinful past. Jesus told the woman to go in peace as her faith had saved her.
We must have faith to approach Jesus no matter our past. Hold your head up ,you are the apple of his eye.
