Psalm 119:67

Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word. You are good, and do good, teach me your statues.

We have all gone astray. The Bible says it and we have all proven it. But God draws His children back home and measures out loving disciplines those He loves. Our parents spanked us and told us that they loved us, I did not understand at first, how could you love me and spank me at the same time? It was for my Good. God is our Father and He loves us enough to get us back in line. Our weary, empty heart draws us back to Him like a thirsty person longs for water. Affliction and difficulty can be the very rod that brings us home, it can be a sign of His love, His conviction can be a reminder that He will never let us go. When we come home to Him, We come home to His commands. We come home to truth. We realize anew that His word guides us into green pastures. He is good and therefore, His Word is good. Psalm 23, The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restored my soul. His Word is given to bring us to that place of blessed obedience where we can enjoy the good things of the Lord. When we come back to Him, we have a new passion to know and obey His Word. We must make a new commitment to listen to His voice every day. Renew your passion for His truth and His commands.Psalms 51 , David pleads for forgiveness after he went in to Bathsheba, he pleads, God please create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me. How can I be restored ? Talk to God,
