Acts 9:3

As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from Heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? and he said, who are you, Lord? Then the Lord said, I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

Call it whatever you want, trials, troubles, tribulations. Adam had them and every human being has faced his or her share ever since. Adversity plays no favorites, exempts no races, skips no gender, passes over no nationality. It can not be avoided or bribed. Troubles come in all shapes , sizes , and colors. There are physical troubles, financial troubles, marital troubles, psychological troubles, and spiritual troubles. Adversity comprises the most difficult and toughest test of faith. When life goes south and things go sour. The question is not, will I experience adversity, we know that Jesus said it will rain on the just and unjust, Jesus said if I suffer you will suffer, So the question is, how does God use adversity in my life? First, He is testing our faith. Every trial is a test that is made up of two questions. 1. Do we trust God or not? How much?
Second , He is toughening our faith. Remember this: God is in the faith growing business. Faith grows the most in tines whaen it is most difficult to exercise it, because faith is like a muscle. In order to grow, it has to be stressed, stretched, and strengthened. So many times we want to avoid or escape trials when those trials are actuall what we need the most. As mother said , you need to eat your veggies so you can grow up and be strong. In the text Paul went through adversity. God knew Paul before he was born and knew he was going to use Paul in a mighty way, but it did not exempt paul from having trails. God chose Paul before birth and called him at his worst.God has chosen you and because He has plans for you, He will make sure you make it to the other side, He will turn your mess into a message. We need to welcome adversity because this is the time that God can show His strength through you. 1 Thessalonians 4:13, We do not grieve or suffer in the same way as those who have no hope, we trust God we know that God has a plan for my life and He has not forgotten about me. Jeremiah 29:11
This is what the Lord says: When Babylon`s 70 years are over, I will come to you.I will keep my promise to you and bring you back to this place. God said I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope. Then you will come to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will hear you. When you look for me, you will find me. What was God saying? After the trouble, after the divorce, after the bankruptcy, after the cancer, after the repo of the house and the car, after you droped out of school, after you come out of prison, after your best friend betrayed you, my plans have not changed that I have for you, so just hold on, God will see you through the storm, even if he has to carry you to the other side. God can not lie. When time is up for the adversity to stop, God will stop it. God has a blessing with your name on it and you will get it, Do not lose heart, do not lose your faith, it`s just a test. God will not waist anything that happens to you in life, He will use it for His glory and your good.
