The answer is how many do you need, we serve a God that says He will never leave us or forsake us, the word never means never. Psalm 119:7,8.  I will praise thee with uprightness of heart. O forsake me not utterly. We see that we should always praise God because he never will forsake us, at times it may seem like God has forgot about our situation, we may feel all alone, we may feel like he is not on time, He is to late. We may think that God patience is running thin, how many more chances do you think you will have? Consider the life of David, the sweet psalmist, the anointed one of God. David had sin in his life and there were times when God did not speak to David, David was put in time out, he could not use his cell phone to call God, he could not go out and play, but he was still Gods child. Peter denied the Lord three times, but he still was Gods child. God said that I will never utterly forsaken you, because I love you and have work for you to do, even when you do not feel my presence, I am with you because I said I will never leave you. As New Testament believers we have the wonderful promise of the seal of the holy spirit of God. We now know that we can never be utterly forsaken. Sin, however can mess up our fellowship with God. Not own Gods part, but we feel like we our not worth of Gods fellowship and we hide from God, just like Adam and Eve did, they were ashamed. Do not run from God He will forgive you, He already has forgiven you. Peter denied Jesus not one time, but three times, and Jesus rose from the dead, He asked about Peter, Jesus died with Peter on his mind and when we mess up , Jesus still has you on his mind, the bible says He knows us by our name, He knows the number of hairs on our head, we are the apple of his eyes, His eyes are on the sparrow and He watches me 24/7 because he never slumbers nor sleep, that is why we can sleep at night, because we have a guard outside our door, no one can get in, not even death can come in, unless God  say that he can. God tells us in Matthew 18:21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked , Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me?  Jesus said seventy times seven, because that means you should always forgive, the number 7 is the number of completion, the number eight is a new beginning, so you start over and forgive .So if Jesus told Peter to forgive, we know that Jesus would not ask Peter to do anything He would not do. Peter ask the question and Peter was the one to denied Jesus, so he knew that Jesus would not only forgive him but He would not forsake him, how do I know? Peter first miracle was when he cured a man who was lame since birth, he could not have perform the miracle without Jesus Christ on the inside of him. God wants us to perform miracles and we do everyday, look around you, we speak life into someone daily, we raise them from the dead, because they were dead spiritually. That is why God gives us another chance after another chance, that is why He has not utterly forsaken us, we have work to do, and you were born for such a time as this, there are people that I can not reach, people that TD jakes, Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyers, Bill Graham, Creflo Dollar, The preachers of LA.But you can at your job, at the casino, in the club, at the football game, in the liquor store,at the crack house.
