HOW TO KEEP THE BLESSINGS COMING

John 10:10 ” The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I ( Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Many Preachers quote this text as support for the idea that Christianity leads to physical prosperity and every good thing. Yes it is true that God loves to bless His people, He loves to see you smile, He loves to see you happy, He loves to see that you have found the love of your life, He loves to see take a vacation, He loves to see you heal, And God will supply all your needs. So how can i keep the thief from stealing my joy, killing my spirit, destroying my relationships? How can i keep the blessings coming? I must first understand that a new car is a blessing, Money in the bank is a blessing, a wife is a blessing, a husband is a blessing, but none of those things is the blessing and i must have the blessings if i want the blessings to keep coming.Let me give you an example, a class of milk is ok, but if i had the cow i can have many classes of milk to enjoy. What is The Blessings? it`s Jesus Christ, can i have stuff without Jesus? yes you can but it want last, it will run out, your joy will run out, you can have all the money in the world and your joy can and will run out, we can be consider poor by the world standers and have nothing, but we can have joy, why? because my joy is in the Lord, the thief can take anything from us except our joy, This joy i have the world did not give it to me and the world can not take it away. My joy is not in my house, not in my car, not in my job, not in my kids, not in my man or woman, I can let the thief take all of that and as long as i am serving the Lord, He will give it all back to me, Look at Job, God allowed the thief to take everything from job, well almost everything God told the thief you can not touch his soul. That`s why we have joy because our soul is in a safety box and the devil can touch it. So how can we keep the blessings coming because we have our soul and our soul will do what it says in Matthew 6:33 ‘ But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you. So my job does not become more important than going to to help someone in time of need. A football game should not take the place of me going to Church to worship God, i do not repay evil for evil but repay evil with good. I must forgive no matter what they have done to me. That`s how i keep the blessings coming. David said ( Psalm 37:25) I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. You are righteous because you seek righteousness, you are not righteous because you do right. 2 Corinthians 5:21 ‘ I am the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ. I am the temle of the Holy Spirit, I am not my own. Joy lives on the inside of me, that is The Blessing. Knowing that one day soon, there will be no more crying, no more pain, no more heartache, i will be with my Jesus, so it is not that i have to keep worrying about my blessings coming, i am a blessing going to be a blessing. Please never forget who you are in Christ. Psalms 1 will help us to remember who we are and what we must do to keep the blessings coming.
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or stand in the way of the sinners ,or sit in the seat of mockers, But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither, whatever he does prospers. We are planted by the streams of water, the spirit is in us and we are in the spirit, so we are blessed. we must remember no person can experience God’s blessing without turning from those things that are harmful or destructive. We must feed the spirit man on the inside in order to stay in the state of joy, this will shape our thinking, attitudes and actions.Meditate on God’s Word, it gives us life and life more abundantly.
