HOW TO NOT BELEVE WHAT YOU SEE

The word tells us to walk by faith and not by sight,  I wish I could walk by faith all the time, I wish I never worry about anything, but the truth is I do walk by sight sometime. When the loan officer at the bank says I need a 750 credit score to get the loan, I do not even apply.  When the job calls for me to have a degree,  I do not apply. So many bad things have happen in my marrage, I say it will never work I give up, money is short , I say I can never afford to send my kids to school. Why is faith so important? First of all it is impossible to please God without faith , because we must believe He is who He say’s He is, God with us, the bible says we all have a measure of faith and Jesus said we only need a little to move mountains out of our lives, about the size of a mustard seed, so why do I still walk by sight, why do I worry about tomorrow? Walking by faith does not mean we ignore  what we see or how we feel, faith is we do not let it stop us from moving forward,we do not let our situation get us depressed. The reason why Jesus said to the disciples you are in the world but not of the world. How can we walk by faith? Man must become blind to the world in order to have sight for God. We must keep our mind on things above. As a believer we have the ability to become blind to the things of the world, in other words it does not affect us. How can this be? Jesus told us that we must be born again, in this new spiritual birth we are born blind to block out the world, we are born blind so we can love our enemies,  born blind not to see the bad report from the doctors and give up. Born blind to see the God will make away out of noway. Born blind not to see the negative things people write about me, in other words we see and don’t see at the same time, because faith kicks in. God said we are new in christ, old things pass away, what I use to see and let it affect me and get me down, I can not see it anymore, I look at things now with my spiritual eyes, because we are all spirts with a body. What is better than 20/20 vision? Faith. In this new life that we have in christ we are born blind and deaf. Because it’s hard to hear the world and still walk by faith, we say sticks and stones may hurt me but words do not, that is a lie, words have gotten people killed and in jail. Words have stop people from reaching there God given talent. Thank God for the new life and making me deaf so I can not hear you say , I can’t do it. To hear you say I am not good enough. So whatever the devil says to me I can not hear him, but I can hear God with my spiritual ear, because He said my sheep will hear by voice and a stranger he will not follow. I can hear God saying, I will never leave you, I can hear Him saying I love you, I can hear Him saying , I will supply all your needs, I can hear Him saying I will give you the desires of your heart. Gods blessings come in all shapes and sizes and God loves to bless His people but without faith we tie Gods hands, because faith release the power that is with you to believe and what you believe you will act on it and speak the word, power and death is in the power of the tongue. Jesus often ask people do you believe before he healed them. He often said your faith has healed you. The devil wants to heal you of this disability in your new birth, he wants you to see and hear all the evil so we can stop believing in God, he does not want you to walk by faith, because you are walking away from him into your joy, peace and happiness. We have to be able to see and not see, to hear and not hear.

Helen Keller said I am sightless but I can see, I am deaf but I can hear, understanding the spiritual world came easily to Keller, to one who is deaf and blind the spiritual world offers no difficulty. She had to trust God, she had to lean on God, she had no choice.  Jesus leaned on God, Jesus became blind and deaf in order to walk by faith and not by sight. We must close our eyes to see God.

Peter in the bible was walking on water and as long as he stayed blind to the world around him.blind to the winds and storms of life and deaf to the sounds of trouble, he could have kept walking on water, doing the impossible, but he open his eyes and unstoped his ears, took his eyes off of Jesus, you see Jesus was so bright that he blind Peter from the problems, but Peter took his eyes off of Jesus and began to sank. Jesus reached out his hands and saved him. Jesus had to blind paul on the road of demasscus so he could see God. Thank God for the new birth.
