Luke 24:13
And,behold , two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. The two men were talking and while they were talking Jesus himself showed up, but their eyes were close by the Lord so they could not know who He was because Jesus wanted to hear what they were talking about.

This was a sad day for the two men, after all their savor had been killed on Friday and now it is Sunday but they still think He is dead. This was a heart breaking experience, they were in despair, they had doubt, disappointment set in, all hope was gone, they saw him on the cross, they saw him in the casket, they saw the dirt put on him in the grave. All hope was gone, but it`s Sunday and their is no reason why the two should be down and depress, but they are stuck on Friday. Have you been their, Heart Breaking experience, we feel like it`s no way out. Then we are stuck on Friday, but it`s Sunday. 72 hours makes a big diffrence. It`s like being in jail for 3 days but your bond was paid on the first day. It`s like buying a Lottery ticket and not checking the numbers for a year and you goin on living like you have no money, but you have the winning numbers, you are a millionaire and don`t know it.
Yes Friday did happen, their Master that they had loved and followed had been horribly put to death. They had hoped that He was the one who was going to redeem Israel.Jesus had told them the plan time and time again, that I will die, but I. will rise up on the third day, but they did not understand. He had given them clues,Jesus friend Lazarus had died and Jesus raised him from the dead. But they did not understand. In our despair God will give us clue`s that He will come to our rescue. We know that God has done it before He will do it again, we know that God is healing somebody somewhere even if it`s not me. So I keep my hope alive, because Jesus is alive. These two men did not know Jesus had risen from the dead. They were depreseed for no reason they were worrying for no reason, high blood pressure for no reason, because He is alive I can face life no matter what comes by way.Human hope is a fragile thing. And when it withers it`s difficult to revive. Hopelessness is a disease of the Human spirit. We are afraid to hope because of not being able to cope with another let down. Jesus had already made away but the two men did not know it. God has already made a way for your situation, Jesus showed up to walk with the two men in their despair, they were sad, weary and wouded. In our despair God will show up, keep in mind that the word says that when 2 or 3 gathered in my name He is in the mist. So I need to be with someone that I know that their mind is on Jesus then He will show up and bring hope in a hopelessness situation.Jesus showed up and listen to their sad story, He could have stop them at at any time and said I am alive, but He did not, He could have ended their despair and grief.. Sometimes God will not take away the pain immediately but He will be there with you, He will walk with you and talk with you. Jesus wants a relationship with us and during our difficult times He has our attention. He will heal you, He will restore you, He will pick you up, He will put joy back in your heart but i want you to know that untill that happens you are not alone. God has shown up.
” My Hope is Built on Nothing Less” by Edward Mote

My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame,But wholly lean on Jesus name. On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand. When darkness veils His lovely face I rest on His unchanging grace; in every high and stormy gale My anchor holds within the veil. On Christ, the sold Rock,I stand; All other ground is sinking sand.
