We have all heard the phrase , you do not miss your water until the well runs dry. what does it means? it means you never miss something until it is gone, that we take things for granted. Today in our text we find out that at times we may take God for granted, but He is not like people to hold it against us and we do not never have to worry about His well running dry, so if you need love it will never run out, because God is love and He said in Roman 8:35 ‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation,or distress, or persecution or famine or nakedness ,or peril ,or sword? if we just understand gods Love, Feel it, and live daily with a deep sense of its reality, that his love will never run out. you can live in victory over temptation and sin and be able joyfully to persevere through trials. We need to know that this well will never run dry because we will have to go back to it time after time. If you need endurance to get through the pain, the pain of a divorce, the pain of being overlooked ,the pain of loneliness, the pain of your past , the pain of hurt , the pain of shame and defeat , the pain of being misunderstood , the pain of disappointment ,the pain of holding the family secret , the pain of guilt, Romans 8:37 says ‘ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. If you need protection, that well will never run dry, Romans 8:31 ” If God is for us, who is against us? can you answer the question? who? your boss, the judge , the rich man , the doctor , the teacher , the loan officer , your hatters , the devil , your friends , your daddy , your mother , your children , No this is a rhetorical question, no need to answer ,God has spoken, no one. Do you need forgiveness, that well will never run dry, because what is done is already done, He has already die for our sins. He said in Romans 8:33 “God is the one who justifies: who is the one who condemns. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Gods great love for us is not diminished or terminated by our failures, shortcomings, or sins, because it goes back to Gods choice of us before the foundation of the world. If you want perfect peace, that well will never run dry, but we can not have peace without grace and God has given us grace in Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1 ” Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, vs 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. The book of Isaiah 26:3 ” Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace ,whose mind is stayed on God. We have peace with God, so God is not mad at you, yes at one time God was separated from us because of sin, but He loved us so much that He sent His only son to die for you and I, so now we have peace with GOD, You will never have peace with the world, but as long as you have peace with the prince of peace that’s all you need, He will give you peace that pass all understanding, the things that you have been through in your life, other people would have lost there mind, but you are still here, peace in the mist of your storm. Just like the 3 Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace they were cool under fire, peace in the storm. What about prosperity ? what about my health ? what about my soul, will those wells run dry? No it says in THE THIRD EPISTLE OF JOHN ” BELOVED, I WISH ABOVE ALL THINGS THAT THOU MAYEST PROSPER AND BE IN HEALTH,EVEN AS THY SOUL PROSPERETH.
Jesus told the woman at the well ( John 4:13) Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. Revelation 7:16 ” They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more, This well of Jesus Christ will never run out, it is the gift that keeps on giving, they say all good things must come to and end, not when it comes to Jesus, how deep is this well? I do not know , all I know is that whatever I need, I can go the well.
