PRAYER FUELS FAITH

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
How do we receive the peaceful assurance from God that ‘ all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose
( Romans 8:28) Where does that come from? How can we be sure we are not just chasing after an elusive dream, a pot of gold, or a rainbow? And where and how does prayer enter into the process of faith- believing in what we expect to come to pass, but we cannot visibly see? God does not expect for us to have blind faith, there is a reason to have faith in God because He has came through before. God can not lie. God wrote the Bible, 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ‘ All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness. Faith is taking the first step without seeing the next step, but knowing that if God said keep going we must keep going because God is the carpenter and He can build the next step. Faith is like a building project, the building is not up yet, but we get excited with anticipation, Why do we get excited when there is no building? because we sit down with the architect and the contractor they show us the blueprint, pictures, and sketches of similar completed buildings. They show us the flowcharts of dates for breaking ground, erecting steel, pouring concrete, and doing finish work. That`s what prayer does, similarly, time spent with God in conversation regarding dreams and hopes puts a form and plan to one`s heart`s desires proposing that in God`s timing and by His blueprint they will come to pass. Daily discussions with God, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the Architect of our lives, only solidify details, develop a calm assurance, and intensify one`s hope for completion of one`s building. Because an idea or a dream starts in one`s heart and mind, faith to believe in it cannot be based on outer circumstances, it must be based on God`s inner work of confidence and direction, through His Word and Spirit, which will in turn provide visible markers as confirmation along the way. Proverbs 3:6, ‘ Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow. To have faith is to step in the direction toward what is believed to be the planned course of our lives. It is obeying God in the unseen areas of our lives. And because it is fueled by God alone, faith cannot develop without prayer and the Word. Romans 10:17 ‘ No one can have faith without hearing the message about Christ, faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Romans 12:3 ‘ God has distributed to each of you a measure of faith. Faith is something we must have, it`s critical, essential. We can not please God without faith, we must first believe that He is who He say that He is. Jesus told Thomas that the only reason you believe that I have risen from the dead is because i showed you the nails in my hands. Then He said bless are those who never seen me but believe, you and I are already blessed. We must have faith so we can become receptive of the grace given to each of us. By faith I know I am forgiven for the wrong I have done, that`s grace. Prayer and faith combine the appointments with the Architect will keep us moving in the right direction with the right attitude. Faith is believing what you cannot see. It is taking a step toward where you believe God is leading. It is not looking back. It is not trying to rationalize. It is not trying to discover logical reasoning. It is daring to believe that the God of this universe can direct one`s life, able and willing to intervene, to bring the dead spiritually to life, to bring healing and health, and to give hope for tomorrow no matter how bleak tomorrow looks.
