John 3:15, John 15:9-17
God loved us so much that he gave his only son, that who ever believes in him shall not perish, but shall have eternal life.
No greater love than this, that a man who would lay down his life for a friend! This love shows and teaches us how to love.
Let’s talk about some types of love:
Eros- A passionate physical and emotional love based on enjoyment and romance. A carnal loves that comes from the flesh, looks good and feel good.
Ludus- This love is played as a game or sport conquest. Players love have multiple partners, at the same time.
Pragma-Pragma love is driven by the head and not the heart, by need and conveinence .
Agape-Gods love, complete, selfless love, unconditional love.
I know that we would like to think that we all have agape love. Let’s be real with ourselves this love is perfect, complete and lacking nothing. We can’t have this without God, because he makes us complete.
1st Corinthians 13: 1-8 gives us an understanding that this love comes from relationship with God. What is a relationship? It is the way in which two or more people are connected, the way we talk, behave toward and deal with each other. We tend to treat people the way we treat God! If we are faithful to God then we tend to be faithful to people. We are a product of our relationship with God!!!
To God be the glory,
