” Standing for God”
In the world today, it’s so easy to just follow the crowd. Even if it’s wrong, we just go along to just get along. We start to follow man than God. We go along with the boss when it’s not right because we need to feed our family. We stay in an abuse relationship because we are afraid. Daniel reminds us that God is our resources. He is our provider. He is our protection. He is our healer.
He is our peace of mind. Daniel appointed to one of the highest Post in the Persian Administration. But the other administrators are jealous and set to ruin Daniel. But when you are faithful to God ,can no one touch you. That’s why God said no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
If you dig one ditch. Dig two.
God said touch not my anointed one. They set a trap for Daniel. Told him that he could not serve his God. Not to pray to his God. Daniel said I have come to for now to turn back now. My God has been good to me. I heard David say. I once was young but now I am old and I have never seen the righteous forsaken or the seed begging for bread. David said many afflictions of the righteous but God delivered them from them all. Jesus said do not be afraid of the one that can just kill the body but be afraid of the one that can kill the body and soul in other words we should never fear man we should never follow man if they’re going in the wrong direction. Daniel stayed faithful to God facing Death.
He continued to pray three times a day at his window, he did not hide. Jesus said if you are ashamed of me then my father will be ashamed of you.
Daniel sold out for God. And God was sold out to him.
Daniel thrown in the lion’s den.
Maybe you are in the lion’s den now. Because when you follow Jesus you will have some trouble, friends will turn on you. The devil will steal your joy. There will be heartache and pain . But Jesus said be of good cheer I have overcome the world. Jesus said I came to destroy the works of the devil. Daniel in the lion’s den, in the mist of his enemies. What did God do? He dispatched an angel to go down and shut the lion’s mouth. God will shut your enemies mouth because God knows that words do hurt words can kill and destroy. But look at God, the same people who had the king to decreed the law , they were thrown into the lion’s den and the angle forgot to shut their mouths.
And they were eaten. It pays to stand for God. And it cost to go against God’s people.
To God be The Glory
