1 peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.
Peter was an eye witness, testifying 0f what he had seen and experienced. He testified that what he wrote in his epistle as an account of God’s grace is true. Peter here warned the believers who were suffering in persecution, if they would not be humbled under God mighty hand. And cast their anxiety on God they would be devoured by the roaring lion the devil their adversary, the reason they were suffering.
But peter had encouraged his readers to endure suffering in such a way that the grace of God would be made manjfest in their lives, not to resist nor to struggle against, but to stand firmly like a rock on the ground of our faith before the roaring lion. The God of all grace of the bountiful and gracious supply of life that exceeds all your need, will perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Faith in God protecting power and loving care and concern for his people, growth in christ is God’s goal for his people. Growth in depending on him in all things, spiritual growth is lacking in the church today. Growth in divine life of christ determine the behavior or deeds done in our body, we must depend on the God of all grace.
Now the work in us, in all these divine act the bountiful supply of the divine life, is ministered to us as grace, all grace refers to the riches of christ bountiful supply of the divine life. In this life, the first step is to be called and the next step is to be justified, and then glorified.
(Rom 8:30), Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified them he also glorified.
To be glorified is to live a manifesting life of Jesus Christ, growing in suffering by depending on the indwelling christ. Desiring to stand full grown and complete in all the will of God.
(Col 4:12), Who is one of you, a servant of christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Growth involves patience while going through needed suffering requires depending on the Lord spirit dwelling within us.
(Jam 1:4), But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
A perfect man is a full grown man in christ, for in many things we offend all, if any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
The spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, our that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with christ: if so be that we suffer with him that we may be also glorified together.
In Christ Jesus, the God of all grace went through all the processes of incarnation, in human living, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension, to accomplish the complete and full redemptions, That he may bring his redeemed people into an organic union with himself, now we can participate in the riches of the Triune God’s as their enjoyment.
All these step of the divine operation are in christ who is the embodiment of the Triune God’s who had become the all inclusive life giving spirit, what a blessed and miracle that a fallen sinner could be brought into God;s eternal glory. And how excellent is his perfecting, establishing, strengthening, and grounding work in us, this is all accomplished through his all grace, which is the true grace. This indicating that God is personally active in the work of grace.
There is a progression in the four divine acts of grace, perfecting leads to establishing, establishing to strengthening, and strengthening to grounding in the God of all grace,
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ to him be glory both now and for ever.
To God be the glory
