The truth shall set you free.

The truth shall set you free

Galatians 5:22
” The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity,  faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

There is no law against such things.

Paul reminds us the freedoms that come with living in the Spirit with living in the flesh.

Salvation through Christmas Jesus offers us the freedom and commitment to live by the desires of God rather than human desires.

This is important because God did say I will give you the desires of your heart.

He said what ever you ask the Father in my name He will give it to you.
As Children of God He wants the best for us.

He wants to have joy, peace, and happiness.

There is no law against such things.

But not at the expense off others.

And not the expense of ourselves.

We must be committed to God and God’s simple rule to love.
Lack of faithful, steadfast commitment had caused Galatians Church members to behave like wild animals rather than people of God..

Paul’s freedom talk confused some people. We are free not under the law, but do not abuse your freedom.

We are not free to have jealousy, lying, selfishness,  excessive pride, anger and other spiritual evils.

The remedy for overcoming these spiritual evils is the indwelling , the internalize the faithful practice of spiritual fruit.

And chief among these is Love.

The Holy Spirit gladly takes on the task of guiding and strengthening us for holy living.

Not perfect living.

In this new-found freedom.

The Holy Spirit, Participation in the life of a believer is not a one time event that happens at conversion.

It is a lifelong participation. We are free so why are we carrying burdens?

Christmas offers liberty.

Remember Christmas said his entry into the world was not a visit to condemn people.

It was a visit and call to liberation.

Have you surrendered your burdens to Christ.?

Have you ever admitted that you have a particular struggle, from which you want to be free, and ask God for help.
Righteous living not perfect living springs from the work of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life.

In contrast to the view of the Old Testament Jews, Holy living is not the product of keeping onerous laws. We can all have freedom in life by submitting our life to Christ.

To God Be The Glory
