Sometimes people say hard things to us or about us that spark feelings inside us. We can choose to take offense to what is said and immediately express our disagreement or we could simply give consideration to the message and decide its value for us.
However we decide to handle things, as believers, let us remember to not allow what people say to draw us into a place where we sacrifice our position in God for some temporary selfish pleasure. Even when what’s said is wrong and bad, we can praise God for his keeping power, and thank him for allowing us to see his power at work in us.
When we are able to praise and thank God, we honor him and claim victory over our circumstance.
