Don’t worry be happy, a song we have all heard at some point. I wish we could all be happy all the time. Everyone is in search for happiness. God wants you to be happy, He loves to see you smile, He loves to hear you laugh, He said that He would give you the desire of our heart. John 10:10 ‘ The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, Jesus said that I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly. The book of John said that, Dear friend, I pray that you may prosper in every way and be in good health physically just as you are spiritually. God cares about every asect of your life, down to the smallest detail. We may not feel this way all the time, because most of us thought that Jesus was talking about happiness when He was talking about Joy. The problem was I was not looking for Joy. Instead, I was looking for happiness. I did not understand joy, How could I lose a love one and still have joy, how could I lose my job and still have joy, how could I be sad and still have joy. I did not understand joy until my happiness ran out. Happiness will run out because it is based on outside circumstances, one day you up one day you down. Joy will never run out because it comes from within. Joy is not about what you know it’s about who you know, Joy is an inside job, who you know is Jesus that lives on the inside of you. 1 Corinthians 6:19 ‘ Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you Whom you have received from God? You are not your own. Once you have the Holy Spirit, you have joy. There is no such thing as joyless Christian, maybe an unhappy Christian because the devil is busy, We maybe unhappy because money is low, because our kids are bad, because I lost my house to forclourse and my car was repoed, my wife left, my husband had an affair, all of these things are outside circumstance they change like the wind. The same person that can make you happy can turn around and make you sad. Happiness will run out. Joy the world did not give it to you and the world can not take it away. 2 Corinthians 1:22 God has also set His seal upon us, and has put His Spirit into our hearts as a pledge and foretaste of future blessing. We have the Holy Spirit therefore we have joy and the joy is sealed on the inside and no one can take it away, we can’t give it away. We need joy, that is the only thing that will sustain you until your Happiness come.
The transformation of water into wine at the Marriage at Cana or Wedding at Cana is the first miracle attributed to Jesus. The text said it was embarrassing to run out of wine. It was a set up, the Jews identified wine with joy so when the wine ran out that meant the joy had ran out. This was a set up because we know that at a party we may run out of food but not out of booze. Everyone was happy when they had wine, but it ran out, now everyone is sad, Jesus showed them that He is the joy maker and if we put our faith in Him we will always have joy.
Psalm 28:7 ‘ The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in Him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy and with my song I praise him.
Isaiah 61:10 ‘ I delight greatly in the Lord, my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. The object of our joy must be in something that will never changed. Hebrews 13:8 ‘ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. I can have joy in the mist of my storms, because storms do not last forever, But God does. I have joy because my name is written in the Lambs book of life. Psalm 30:5 ‘ Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Got Jesus? Got Joy. What does Joy stands for?

We are covered in the Blood of Jesus.
