Matthew 17:14

When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before Him. He said Lord have mercy on my son, he has seizures and is suffering greatly. I brought him to your disciples because I just knew they could heal my son after all they have been with you for over 3 years and I am sure you taught them how to cast out deamons. As a matter of fact back in chapter 10, Jesus you sent the twelve harvest hands out with this charge: Bring health to the sick. Raise the dead. Touch the untouchables. Kick out the demons. But they could not heal my son and I want to know why. Jesus said bring the boy to me, Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy and he was healed at that moment. Why could Jesus healed the boy and they could not? can we cast out demons? well just like the disiples, Jesus expects us to do just that, but we must follow the instructions and the example of Jesus. The disciples ask the question why did we failed the test when you gave us the power and the authority to get the job done? Jesus told them if you had faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move, nothing will be impossible for you. Jesus is saying the same thing to you today.
They had Faith and they prayed. So what was missing? Are you praying ? do you have faith? you can answer yes to both of those question and still can not move your mountain from in front of you.
The mountain of bad health, The mountain of no money. The mountain of loneliness. Jesus said yes you are praying and yes you have faith because I gave everyone a measure of faith. However this kind takes fasting and prayer. What you are missing is Fasting and the reason I could healed the boy is because back in the 4 chapter, I was taken into the wild by the Spirit for my test. The devil was ready to give it. Jesus prepared for the test by Fasting forty days and forty nights. That left him, of course, in a state of extreme hunger physically but He was extreme full of the spirit. The devil had no chance. So we learn that their is power in Fasting, Jesus use no special powers. He use prayer, faith and fasting. Which one of these could be missing out of your life? If you want to turn your life around do as Jesus did. WWJD. We know what he did. now we have to ” JUST DO IT”
