When we say no to God,

” When we say no to God”
God tells Jonah to go to Nineveh to declare that God will destroy it for its many sins unless they repent. Jonah did not want God to show Grace and mercy to the people. These people were Jonah enemies.
Jonah told God know I am not going, so he tried to run and hide from God. The first point is that God loves your enemies God love your haters God loves everyone and He wish not to lose one. God tells us to pray for our haters. God said feed them. Jonah said no way and you can’t make me. Jonah was right. God has given us free will. He does not want to make us love Him. Because that’s not real love. Have you ever told God no? Off course not. Not directly. But God said if you have done it to the least of these ,you have done it to me.
No God will not force you but He will let you make your decision after He gets your attention, just to remind you of who he is. That’s what happened to Jonah, God just reminded Him of the power that He has. God sends a violent storm that threatens to destroy the ship. When we tell God no, sometimes a storm comes our way, not to destroy us but to reminded us of who is large and in charge. He has power over the storms. You may have a health storm. A money storm. A marriage storm. It’s out of control. Jonah in a storm. In a dark place. No way out and God put him there. No God want make you do anything against your will, but He will get your attention so you can come to your senses. Jonah in the belly of a big fish. We are you today? Not physically but mentally, do you have a piece of mind, can you sleep without tossing and turning. What has God called you to do but you said no. What gifts you are not using? Look how God deals with the man of God that’s on the run. You are a child of God on the run. Jonah, now in the middle of the ocean without a life preserve, begins to drown, in desperation, he cries out to God, who hears his pleas and sends a giant whale to save him. He told God no. But God still heard his cry. Even when we rebel against God, He still loves us. Jonah brought this on himself but God still came to his rescue. You can’t blow it that bad that God want here you. When we mess up, said God I am sorry, forgive me then pray. That’s what Jonah did. And God saved him.
So Jonah went to Nineveh, now he could have saved himself from all that trouble if he just would have said yes the first time. You know a hard head makes a soft behind .
Jonah went and preach a Revival and they turned from there wicked ways and got saved. Try being obedient to God and watch Him turn your life around. What is God asking you to do? Take up your cross and follow him. Love your neighbors. Meditate on my word day and night. Feed my sheep. Others first before yourself. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Make your body as a Living Sacrifice. Stop robbing me and pay your tithes and offering. Use your gift for the glory of God.

To God Be The Glory….
