YOUR BODY, MY TEMPLE

1 Corinthians 3:16-17, Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Now the Greek word denotes inner temple, The temple of God here refer to the believers in a certain locality, such as corinth whereas the temple of God is holy. The temple of God is the explanation of God’s building, God building is not an ordinary building, it is the sanctuary of the holy God, the temple in which the spirit of God dwells. We the builders such a holy temple, should realize this, that we may be careful to build not with the wordless materials of wood, grass, and stabble but with the precious materials of gold, silver, and precious stones, and economy.

Since the temple of God, the church is holy the materials, the ways and the efforts by which we build is also must be holy, corresponding  with God’s nature, Christ redemption, and the spirit’s transformation. Jesus tell us that your body is my dwelling place, the place my holy spirit resides. My greatest desire is for you to experience good health in your spirit and in your body. Spiritual war will not be won if you go to battle exhausted and weak, my beloved. Take time, my love, to rest and rebuild my temple, your body I have prepared a table for you to feast from my whole food. If you commit your diet to me as my propher Daniel did,I will reward you with favor, strength and wisdom, just as I did for Daniel during his reign. Now is your time to do what is needed to run your race and finish strong.

He who come to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
