Pastor’s Corner : Thank God for Jesus

Our GodGenes 2;9  Thank God for Jesus, Who did not bite the apple
As we look around us today we see disobedience on every hand.Disobedience is evidence in homes ,in our schools, even in the church, some time we are just hard heaed. Mom use to say that a hard head head will make a soft bottom. well I was hard headed and I do have a soft bottom from all those spakeings. As a baby we hear these words, no , stop, that is not good for you.put that down, you are going to hurt yourself. As adults God is still saying those same words, no,stop, put that down. Are we listening?  the fact of the matter is we just do not want anyone telling us what to do. Man want listen to God, woman want listen to man, Children want listen to woman.
I have great news today, if you want your life to turn around,if you want your breakthrough, if you want your joy back,if you wan t the favor of God, all you have to do is listen to God and follow His instructuions.
In our Text today Adam and Eve was disobedience to God,in othere words they were hard headed, God told them not to eat the apple,The apple is a symbol of disobednce. The sin was in disobeying Gods commands. and anytime you disobey God we are at his mercy. Just like when we were disobeying our parents, they loved us so much that they would correct our behavior, well God is no different,He loves us so much hat He will correct us,so we want destroy our self.  We thank God for Jesus, that when we get off track, when we get out of line, God will come to our rescue.
Adam and Eve let Sin in and it separated us from God, before the bit the apple, they was supposed to live forever and have fellowship with God, God would walk with them, talk with them, eat with them. But they were hard headed, so that put a curse on all of us, one man action of disobedience put a wall between us and God, but God is so good, He gave His only son to die for you and me so we could be reconcile back to God, now we can walk, talk with him, He lives on the inside of us, Thank God for Jesus. We were lost, but now we are found.
The lesson for all of us is that when God says no, it is for our God,w hen God says do not touch that, we do not touch it. He knows what is best for us. God was separated from us for 400 years because Adam bit the apple.when we are disobedient to Gods commands, it will set us back, the journey will take much loner. The word says that if we acknowledge God in all our ways He will direct our path, He want lead you the wrong way, yes it may be some speed bumps in the road, yes it may be some rough roads, t may be some detours a long the way,But God will get you there to your joy, peace, love, happeness. I am a living wittenes, I have learened to listen to God,even when I do not understand it. Just like Adam ate the forbidden fruit, sometime we do as well, but thank God for Jesus who die for all our sins, thank God for His gracy and mercy. Jesus was obdent unto death.
