There is a lot of suffering and pain in this world. We are living in a world that is full of pain, Jesus did say if I suffer you will suffer too. That is not my favorite verse in the BIBLE. No one wants to suffer but suffering is a part of life. Jesus did say that if you suffer for my sake that you will be with me in Heaven one day where there is no more pain. But, what about now! God where are you, I need you.
You know, God you promised to be with us and deliver us from all our troubles. God you said it right this man may have many troubles but the Lord delivers him out of them all. God I know that you are not a man that can lie, I just need to know where are you?
In time of my trials and tribulations, God I know you don’t have to tell me anything but I would like to know where are you? I am feeling like John the Baptist, when he was in jail on death row. God I need you now! What is the purpose of this pain? I know God, that no child of yours will go through pain just to be going through. Lord can this be a test? I remember back in the old days when I was watching television and the screen would go black and a loud noise would come over the speakers and the man would say do not adjust your set this is only a test, don’t change your channel this is just a test. Faith is not faith until it’s tested. Do we believe and trust God even in the midst of pain and suffering? Do we believe in the promises of God even when everything look impossible. Do we trust in God even when we don’t understand his ways. Where is God? That the question the 3 Hebrew boys had on their minds when they were thrown into the fiery furnace. Where is God? All of a sudden they looked around and there was God in the mist of the fiery furnace, in the form of an air conditioner and in the form of protection. God was in the fiery furnace , the three Hebrew boys came out of the fiery furnace but there was four. Where is God? He is still in the fiery furnace to rescue you when you go through your trials and tribulations. God said that I would never leave you nor forsake you. Yes, he is still in the fiery furnace to protect you from all harm and danger. your fiery furnace maybe your health, relationship, finances, or it maybe your enemies attacking you. David gives us an answer in Psalms 34 , as you know David was on the run he was a fugitive and he pretended to go crazy before Abimelech. God rescued him. David said in verse 18 the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. I don’t know about you but god is close to the brokenhearted. When you are in pain remember God is in you and in front of you and psalms 23 says he is behind you. Grace and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. That’s why I love the poem called Footprints. The question was asked God, through my toughest hours and the worst times of my life, where were you? God when I was going through the small things in my life as I walked on the beach I saw two set of footprints in the and I knew that you was with me. I was comforted by your presences and I was over joyed that you walked with me during my trials and tribulations, but God where were you during my worst times.
God said, “that’s when I was carrying you”. God will carry you. He will help our faith if we don’t give up or give in. Know that he is there. Walk by the Word, not by what you see, not by what you hear, not by what you feel. God said I am with you always. Where is God? I am here!
To God be the glory
